Galvanized Steel

Galvanized steel products are made by cleansing and heat-treating rolled coils before dipping them into a bath of molten zinc. Through this process, the coils are plated with zinc only (GI), zinc and iron (GA) or zinc, aluminum and magnesium (PosMAC).

  • While molten zinc solidifies on the surface of the steel sheet, normal zinc crystallization is suppressed, creating fine crystals.
  • The surface is flat and has a fine appearance after painting. Paintability is superior to regular spangle products.

(Galvannealed Steel)
Zn-Fe -STEEL - Zn-Fe
  • Through a thermal diffusion process, a steel sheet and zinc react to produce an alloy layer.
  • Weldability and paintability are superior to galvanized steel sheets.
  • Iron in the alloy layer enhances corrosion resistance after painting.
Inner & outer panels of home appliances and automobiles

The product can be used in various applications such as construction materials, pipe, electronics, furniture, materials with molten zinc to the hot rolled or cold rolled steel products.
