냉연 제품은 열연을 소재로 산세, 냉간 압연, 열처리를 통해 제조되며, 두께 0.2~2.0mm의 비교적 얇은 강판입니다.
표면이 미려하고 가공성이 우수한 고급 철강재로 현대사회의 필수 소재로 각광받고 있습니다.
최근 고기능 냉연 제품 수요가 늘어남에 따라 포스코는 고부가가치 제품 생산에 총력을 다하고 있습니다.

포스코는 포항에 2곳, 광양에 4곳의 냉연 공장을 가동 중입니다. 냉연 제품은 자동차, 세탁기, 냉장고 등의 가정용품부터 산업기기와 각종 건축 용재까지 다양하게 사용됩니다. 나아가 스틸캔, 스틸하우스 등 새로운 수요가 지속적으로 창출됨으로써 고부가가치 제품의 개발 및 생산 분야를 확대해 나가고 있습니다.

연강(Mild Steel)은 탄소의 양이 적고 비교적 연한 탄소강으로 인장 강도 340MPa 미만에 해당합니다. 연신율이 높고 성형범위가 넓어 일반 가공부터 섬세하고 높은 수준의 가공까지 다양하게 활용됩니다. CQ, DQ, DDQ, EDDQ, S-EDDQ가 있으며 자동차 부품에 가장 널리 사용되고 있습니다.

BH

BH(Bake-Hardenable) Steel이란?

극저탄소강에 침입형 원소를 적절히 포함하여, 도장 소부한 다음 항복강도가 증가하도록 설계, 제조되는 제품입니다. 소부경화강은 성형 초기 단계에서 변형이 쉽게 일어나고, 이후 항복강도가 소부경화현상(Bake hardening effect)에 따라 약 30MPa 이상 향상됩니다. 일반강에 비해 내덴트성(Dent resistance, 덴트 저항)이 높기 때문에 강판 두께를 얇게 해도 상대적으로 높은 내덴트성을 유지합니다.

180YB

180YB는 항복강도 180MPa 이상 보증강으로, 소부 후에는 항복강도가 210MPa 이상으로 증가합니다. 높은 내덴트성과 성형성이 필요한 후드(Hood), 도어 아우터(Door outer) 등 차체 외판에 널리 사용되고 있으며 표면 품질이 엄격하게 관리되고 있습니다. 제품으로는 CR, EG, GI, GA가 있습니다.

HSLA(High Strength Low Alloy) Steel 이란?

저탄소강에 석출강화원소인 Ti, Nb을 첨가하여 탄질화 석출물을 미세하게 분산시켜 제조됩니다. 이때 생성되는 대표적인 석출물은 NbC, TiC, VC, AlN 등이 있습니다. 이 석출물은 전위이동을 방해하여 강도와 내충격성을 향상시키는데, 석출물의 크기가 작을수록 강도가 더욱 증가합니다. 비교적 저렴한 비용으로 고강도 강을 얻을 수 있어 자동차 충돌 부품을 보강하는 데에 적합합니다.

180Y-XR

180Y-XR(eXtra R)은 180YE보다 고성형성을 요구하는 고객들을 위하여 개발되었으며, 항복강도 180MPa 이상, 연신율 42% 이상 보증강입니다. 180Y-XR은 침입형 고용원소를 극히 낮게 하고 {111} 밀도를 높게 하여 단열 성능치(R-value)는 증가시켰습니다. 180Y-XR은 IF HSS중에서 연신율이 가장 높기 때문에 고강도와 심가공성이 요구되는 부품에 사용 될 수 있습니다. 제품으로는 CR, GA가 있습니다.

DP

DP(Dual Phase) Steel 이란?

차체 경량화를 목적으로 초고강도 강판을 요구하는 고객을 위해 개발한 강철로 페라이트 기지와 제2상인 마르텐사이트로 구성됩니다. DP강은 0.5~0.6 수준의 낮은 항복비를 가져 쉽게 가공될 수 있고, TRIP강 다음으로 높은 연신율을 나타냅니다. 또한 소둔로에서 가열 후 급냉하고 Ms 온도 이하에서 과시효대를 거치기 때문에(철강의 경화를 방지하기 때문에) 우수한 소부경화능을 가집니다.

490DP

490DP은 인장강도 490MPa 이상 보증강으로 자동차 구조 중 고강도가 요구되는 곳에 사용됩니다. 또한 490DP는 항복강도 270MPa 이상으로 높은 강도를 가지며 변형시효가 없습니다. 이러한 특성을 살려 최근 자동차 경량화 추세에 따라 자동차 외부 부품으로 적용 분야가 확대되는 중입니다. 외부 부품용은 표면 품질이 엄격하게 관리되고 있습니다. 제품으로는 CR, EG, GI, GA가 있습니다.

TRIP(Transformation Induced Plasticity) Steel 이란?

차체 경량화를 목적으로 초고강도와 고성형 강판을 요구하는 고객을 위해 개발한 강종입니다. 페라이트 기지에 베이나이트와 잔류 오스테나이트로 구성된 복합 조직강으로 소량의 마르텐사이트를 포함하는 경우도 있습니다. TRIP강은 항복비가 0.57~0.67 범위로 성형성(연신율)이 우수하여, 고성형성을 요구하는 부품에 적합합니다. 고강도 TRIP강은 용융도금강판을 제조하기 어려운데, 이것은 도금 품질에 해로운 Si 및 기타 성분이 많이 포함되어 있기 때문입니다.

590TRIP

590TRIP은 인장강도 590MPa 이상 보증강입니다. 인장강도 590MPa를 가지는 HSLA 및 DP강보다 연신율이 높으며, 제품으로는 CR, EG, GA가 있습니다.

차체 경량화를 목적으로 초고강도와 고성형성을 추구하는 고객을 위해 개발된 강종으로, 인장강도와 연신율의 곱이 25,000MPa% 이상입니다. 포스코는 980MPa급 CR 강인 980XF-B를 생산하고 있습니다. XF강은 페라이트와 오스테나이트의 이상이 존재하는 온도 영역에서 열처리 후 템퍼링 온도로 급속히 냉각 하는 과정을 거칩니다. 이와 같은 열처리를 통해 페라이트, 마르텐사이트 그리고 잔류 오스테나이트가 상온에서 존재하도록 제조합니다. 미세한 결정립 크기로 인해 높은 항복 강도를 확보 할 수 있으며, 잔류 오스테나이트의 존재는 25% 이상의 높은 연신율을 가지는데 중요한 역할을 합니다.

고탄소-고망간을 주성분으로 하는 오스테나이트 단상강으로 가공을 받으면 변형 쌍정(deformation twin)이 발생하여 가공경화율, 강도, 연신율이 모두 우수해집니다. 미세조직 사진에서 인장시험 도중 형성된 변형 쌍정을 확인 할 수 있으며, 변형량이 증가할수록 쌍정이 증가합니다.

950TWIP강은 인장강도 950MPa 이상, 연신율 45% 이상으로 가공경화 특성이 일반강보다 우수한 강종입니다. 충돌 시 높은 에너지 흡수가 필요한 자동차 부품에 적용될 수 있습니다.

CP(Complexed Phase) Steel 이란?

차량 안전성을 목적으로 초고강도 강판을 요구하는 고객을 위해 개발된 강종입니다. 페라이트, 베이나이트, 마르텐사이트의 복합조직에 Ti 혹은 Nb 석출물을 포함합니다. CP강은 단상역(혹은 2상)으로 가열 후 서서히 냉각하여 생산됩니다. 베이나이트와 마르텐사이트를 주요 조직으로 사용함으로써 고항복비와 우수한 굽힘 가공성을 나타냅니다.

980CP

980CP강은 항복강도 800MPa 이상, 인장강도 980MPa 이상 보증강입니다. 고YR(=YS/TS)를 요구하는 고객을 위해 개발된 강종으로 뛰어난 충돌 안전성이 요구되는 자동차 부품에 사용되고 있습니다.

높은 충돌 안전성이 요구되는 실 사이드 패널(Sill side panel), Underbody Reinforcement parts 등 자동차 구조용 부품에 주로 적용

MART(MARTensite) Steel 이란?

마르텐사이트 기지에 소량의 베이나이트 혹은 페라이트 조직으로 구성되어 있습니다. 마르텐사이트강은 탄소강 중에 인장강도가 가장 높지만, 연성은 매우 낮습니다. 마르텐사이트강은 급냉 후 적절한 템퍼링 열처리를 통하여 항복강도를 향상시킵니다.

1300MART

1300MART는 인장강도 1,300MPa 이상 보증강으로, 항복강도는 1,000MPa 이상입니다. 높은 강도와 낮은 연성으로 주로 롤 포밍(Roll forming)용 부품으로 사용됩니다. 또한, 충돌 시 차체 변형을 막아주는 자동차 충돌 부재로 적용될 수 있으며, 제품으로는 CR, GI가 있습니다.

후열처리강

HPF

HPF(Hot Press Forming) Steel 이란?

HPF(Hot Press Forming) 공정은 Hot stamping, Press hardening, Die quenching 등으로 부르기도 합니다. 이 공정은 가열된 강판을 이용해 프레스로 성형하는데, 고온에서의 강판은 매우 연질이므로 복잡한 형상도 쉽게 성형이 가능합니다. 성형하는 동안 가열된 강판은 거푸집 내에서 급격히 냉각되고, 그 결과 가공된 부품은 매우 높은 강도를 갖습니다.

1470HPF

일반적으로 HPF는 보론을 첨가하여 강판의 경화능을 향상시키기지만, 포스코 냉연 1470HPF는 Cr-free, Mn 첨가강입니다. 보론 첨가강에서는 소입효과를 극대화 시키기 위하여 보론을 고용 상태로 존재시킵니다. 이를 위해 강 중 N을 TiN으로 석출시키기는 것이 중요합니다. 하지만, 포스코 1470HPF은 N를 첨가하여 고용상태로 잔존시켜 도장 이후 baking 공정에서 항복강도를 상승시킵니다. 제품으로는 CR, Al-Si이 있습니다.

고강도 보강재가 요구되는 A/B 필러(A/B-pillar), 루프 크로스 멤버(Roof cross Member) 등 자동차 차체(BIW, Body In White) 부품에 주로 사용

황산부식환경에 특화된 포스코 앙코르(ANCOR)강을 소개합니다.
화석연료가 연소될 때 발생하는 황산화물은 대기 중으로 배출되면서 공기를 오염시켜
미세먼지, 산성비를 유발하고 호흡기 및 피부질환의 원인이 됩니다.
이에 황산화물과 같은 대기오염 물질의 배출을 줄이기 위해
정부 주도로 환경 설비 개선 정책이 추진되고 있습니다.
이러한 환경설비의 내구성을 위해서는
황산 부식에 대한 내식성을 강화시키는 소재를 사용해야 합니다.

앙코르강은 발전설비 내 황산과 염산이 응축되면서 조성되는 부식환경에서 일반강재에 비해 월등히 높은 내식성을 자랑합니다.

자막 : ANCOR의 작동 메커니즘은 무엇인가요?

황산, 염산환경에 놓인 앙코르강은 부식되는 과정에서
강재 표면에 내식성 합금 농축층을 형성하는데
여기에 앙코르강 내식성의 핵심 기술이 숨어있습니다.

내식성 합금 농축층은 매우 치밀하게 강재 표면을 덮어
내식성 합금 농축층 아래에 강재의 부식반응을 억제합니다.
또한, 앙코르강에 포함된 합금 원소들은 보호성 산화물층을 형성하여 추가적인 내식성을 갖게 합니다.

그리고 포스코는 내 황산강 전용 용접봉을 개발하여 용접부에 내식성을 강화하였습니다.
앙코르강의 내식성은 국내 화력발전소에서 장기간의 현장시험을 통해서도 검증되었는데,
시험 결과 앙코르강은 황산 부식 환경에서 경쟁사 강제 대비 동등 이상의 내식성을 가질 뿐만 아니라 염산이 포함된 복합산 부식 환경에서도 뛰어난 내식 성능을 확인하였습니다.
